**About The Role**:
Bendigo Kangan Institute is one of Victoria's largest TAFE providers. As a **Safe Food Handling Teacher **, you'll play a crucial role in the rehabilitation and education of individuals within the correctional system. Your dedication to delivering high-quality vocational education and training, along with conducting competency-based assessments, will contribute significantly to the holistic development of the students.

Working within the Corrections teams, you'll be part of a collaborative environment focused on achieving positive outcomes for students. By imparting essential skills, you'll not only enrich their educational experience but also contribute to the holistic development of the students.

**Qualifications**:

- TAE40110 or TAE40116 (including TAEASS501 and TAELLN411) or higher VET teaching qualification
- Certificate/Degree in Hospitality or Cookery

Vocational qualifications and competencies

**Experience and Knowledge**:

- Hospitality or Cookery industry experience
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Understanding and respect for the diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds of the students
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to communicate effectively across large groups
- A confident and flexible approach
- Flexibility to adjust teaching methods based on the needs of individual learners and the dynamics of the classroom

Proficient in IT systems and MS Office suite
