We seek on their behalf a dedicated HSE /OHS Coordinator to join their Jandakot-based operation.
**The Position**
As the HSE Coordinator, you'll be working alongside the Senior HSE Business Partner helping to oversee & assist in managing all Health - Safety - Environment activities, ensuring the full implementation of the Company's Safety Policy, and Site Safety Management Plans.
**Position Purpose**:This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operational and administrative support to key stakeholders and the OHSE Business Partners and for identifying and implementing positive HSE change initiatives.
**Key component**:We seek a hands-on OHS/HSE Coordinator that seeks to first understand and then align with all internal employees, in particular. Workshop Trades, Operators, Supervisors, and Production Managers, therefore being able to better understand internal processes to then communicate, and coordinate safety & environmental measures effectively to Senior OHSE Business partners.

**Main Accountabilities**:
- Immerse yourself into the day-to-day Workshop Environment & its people.
- Then, maintain and is necessary to improve OHSE Management System in line with legal, AS 4801 & ISO 18001 standards
- Investigate Follow up hazards, incidents and any reported near misses to ensure effective action implementation.
- Provide effective and efficient administrative support to the HSE Business Partners
- Participate in site Pre-start, Toolbox, and HSE Committee meetings
- Assist the Snr HSE Business Partner in the management of Customer and Subcontractor Safety management
- Support the HSEQ internal audit program deliverables and team
- Coordinate OHSE training and deliver training where required
- Allocating training to new starters and existing employees on the E-learning platform
- Support the OHSE Business Partners in the implementation and rollout of National HSE improvements and initiatives in conjunction with the Quality team
- Assist Senior OHSE Business Partner to collate monthly report data
- Assist with the maintenance of the risk management system across Australia
- Influence and build relationships with all stakeholders to ensure safety management processes are implemented, maintained and continually improved
- Assist in developing client-specific risk assessments and HSE Management Plans
- Become a superuser for OHSE software solution and ensure data accuracy and transparency
- Proactively explore new ways of improving HSE outcomes and become a change champion for process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OHSE legislation, policy, and procedures.
- Participate and contribute to the planning processes, policy and procedure development relating to the area of responsibility
- Support the integration of the OHSE and Quality Management Systems
- Other duties that are within the skills and experience of the person will also be required
**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
- Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment
- ** Preferably experience in the metal trades and/or construction industry**:
- Previous experience in all aspects of OH&S, and HSE management.
- ** Previous Fixed Plant maintenance Site & Workshop experience (well received).**:
- Able to use a team approach to ensure all key performance targets are met
- Build trust & rapport with stakeholders (internal & external)
- Sound reporting experience and intermediate levels of computer literacy
- Being able to prioritize workloads
- Adapt to variances between workshop & office
- Proactive attitude and ability to drive matters forward
- Sound and accurate judgment to deal with OHSE emergencies and incidents in a professional and confidential manner
- Ability to establish new systems and processes and improvements.
- Ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
