Overview
Warranty and Contract Managerrole atCAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles).
We are currently seeking a Warranty and Contract Manager to act as technical and management support at a Depot reporting to the RS General Manager.
Responsibilities
In conjunction with the General Manager, implement and manage processes, systems and timeframes in line with CAF Headquarters' policies and procedures, and account for AU requirements/restrictions, both legislative and operational.
Provide technical support and advice liaising with Headquarters in Spain and locally with direct reports.
Compile reports based on contractual requirements as needed.
Define and organize groups and work shifts.
Supervise other staff as required.
Analyze breakdowns and incidents in service.
Generate technical documentation (WCR).
Maintain permanent contact with suppliers and other CAF departments (Management, Quality, TO, etc.).
Respond to the client in all matters related to warranty activities.
Achieve the reliability figures and KPIs established for the project.
Manage the store and stock level.
Attend meetings with the client to discuss reliability figures (SAF), project KPIs, modification requests, or other items as required.
Be flexible to work non-standard hours and, at times, carry out hands-on work at the Depot.
Perform general duties as directed by the General Manager and manage direct reports for successful execution of these functions.
Ensure effective and frequent communication with CAF Headquarters, including updates on milestones, delays and challenges.
Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, including delegation where appropriate.
Promote health and safety in the workplace and participate in health and safety initiatives such as workplace inspections and hazard identification.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with Australian health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
Ensure all work is carried out safely in line with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards and advise management of changes that may impact safety, quality or environment, including potential improvements for CAF's performance.
Profile
Education:Higher Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering qualification essential.
Skills and experience:
5+ years of previous work experience in a similar role or equivalent.
Knowledge and application of train manufacture and maintenance activities.
Excellent people management skills.
Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings; understanding Spanish is advantageous.
Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures.
Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
