Join Hazeldenes.Primary ObjectiveThe Maintenance/Engineering Stores Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the Maintenance/Engineering Department has an effective goods receivable, purchasing and control system.
By planning, administering and reviewing the holistic parts and equipment processes and associated activities for the Engineering Department at the Lockwood site the Maintenance/Engineering Stores Coordinator is to manage resource use with the view to minimise costs and maintain OH&S and quality standards.
The Maintenance/Engineering Stores Coordinator is to ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures and systems which are used to monitor stock levels are efficiently developed and controlled to meet the specifications of internal customers.
A sound preventative maintenance program will promote the maximum amount of uptime and reliability of the processing plant.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance/Engineering Stores Coordinator has overall responsibility of all goods ordered and delivered to the Maintenance/Engineering Department.
It is expected that the incumbent will drive productivity and proactively seek guidance and assistance on any of the below items as required.Goods Receiving and Purchasing SystemsWrite Purchase Orders, process all invoices/delivery dockets and prepare work orders within required timeframes, paying particular attention to accuracyAuthorise invoices for payment, or pass on to the Department Manager for authorisation where required as well as manage the credit process for invoices as required, in accordance with the Maintenance Purchasing PolicyIn collaboration with the Engineering Manager, monitor, review, identify and implement processes to drive continuous improvement opportunities through the execution of best practiceConduct regular reviews on stock quantities (including stocktakes as required), stock prices and material utilization to maximize usage, minimize wastage and ensure the most competitive prices are gainedNegotiate well priced products and timely deliveries to ensure that parts/equipment are available to meet operational needsEnsure there is adequate stocking levels for critical spare parts associated goods for the Processing PlantGeneral support of the Engineering Team with general data entryQuality Auditing within the Engineering Group, and with the QA teamPart and Equipment Management SystemsDevelop and/or Maintain stock database for storing spare parts and materials relevant to plant reliabilityManage parts and equipment references to ensure storage types (i.e. bins, drawers, boxes) are identifiable and easily located in the onsite storage facilitiesIdentify and stage proactive job packs/parts and contribute to the planning of significant plant repairs, via the preventative maintenance schedule (PMS) systemManage satellite stores around the Lockwood site and ensure adequate parts and equipment are available and easily accessible / locatable at all timesQuality & OH&S SystemsBe proactive in improving safe work practices and workplace environments by monitoring, applying and promoting Hazeldene's policies in all work practicesUnderstand and implement SOPs consistent with OH&S Policies and Hazeldene's policies and proceduresAssist the OH&S function to implement Occupational Health and Safety, aiming to eliminate injuries, and report any incidents and hazards that may occurProvide advice and guidance to all staff, Supervisors and Managers in the interpretation of the Quality System and requirements as it applies to the stores environmentAssist in developing and maintaining Quality documentation to ensure current and up to date information is available upon requestWork autonomously to ensure targets are met and delegate to other work groups or colleagues as required to meet efficiency requirementsDisclaimer: The duties and responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive and may change from time to time based on business needs.
