Software Development Opportunity
Cyber Security NSW is seeking a talented software developer to join our Capability and Development Team in Sydney. As a member of our team, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver innovative solutions across various cybersecurity objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop robust and secure software platforms using Python and React to enhance and empower the Cyber Security team
Participate in consultations with stakeholders to identify business functions, objectives, and outputs
Create design documentation outlining technical specifications for solutions
Perform code reviews and analysis
Work collaboratively with a small team, communicating regularly
Conduct manual and automated software testing
Provide support, documentation, and assistance in handing over software solutions to BAU

About Cyber Security NSW Branch
The Cyber Security NSW is a whole-of-government function located within Digital.NSW in the Department of Customer Service. Our primary goal is to ensure a cyber-safe NSW. We achieve this by creating a whole-of-government integrated approach to managing cyber risk and responding to cyber security threats, increasing cyber skills and awareness, understanding the risks from cyber threats to our digital information and systems, setting cyber security standards, and ensuring we are prepared if a damaging cyber incident occurs.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Software development experience, proficient in one or more modern programming languages, especially Python and React
An attention to detail, striving for high-quality code and adopting best practices
A demonstrated interest in learning new languages, approaches, and methods
Australian citizenship with Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance (Australian permanent residents or visa holders are not eligible)
