Our client, operating in minerals contributing to a lower carbon future has an immediate requirement for Pit Technicians.

Reporting to site Geologist, you will be responsible for assisting the geology team to facilitate optimum production.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Monitoring ore excavation, communicating with mining personnel to ensure ore is mined efficiently
- Undertake and monitor effective grade control and sampling/data programs to meet production.
- Grade control drilling sampling.
- Accurate collection and reporting of production data.
- Assisting with ore preparation and processing.
- Recording and dispatch of samples and sample sheets including data entry
- Reconciling ore and waste truck tallies
- Always acting in a manner that seeks to enhance safety culture and performance.

**Essential skill set**:

- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Site preparation experience - ore block markings, site mapping, mark out and sampling of pit grade control programs
- First Aid Certificate (Current).
- Drivers Licence (manual) - "C" Class (Current).
- Strong level of communication skills - verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and good time management/organisational skills.
- Strong computer skills and literacy, including O365 and SAP.
- Knowledge and understanding of the statutory regulations relevant to safety and the environment for the mining industry.
