Pit Technician - Gold Exploration Company
About the Role
An established gold producer is seeking a Pit Technician to support open pit operations in the WA Goldfields. Working a FIFO 8&6 roster ex-Perth, you'll play a key role in assisting the geology team with daily grade control and pit sampling activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, prepare, and dispatch grade control and blast hole samples.
- Undertake sampling, mark-ups, and ore spotting in the pit.
- Maintain accurate sample records and ensure QA/QC procedures are followed.
- Assist with daily ore control tasks to support mine geology and production teams.
- Contribute to safe, efficient mining operations by adhering to site standards.
About You
- Previous experience as a Pit Technician or in a mine site sampling role preferred.
- Strong focus on safety and quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Full manual driver's licence required.
What's on Offer
- FIFO from Perth on an 8&6 roster, 12-hour shifts.
- $650 per day + superannuation.
- Three initial swings available, commencing 23 September.
- Work as part of an experienced geology and mining team.
- Opportunity to develop skills and progress within the geology function.
- Good chance to gain some further experience as well as earn a solid daily rate while doing so.
- Alternatively, if you are between positions it could be a few weeks of extra work until you find something longer term.
