**Project Planner**
Under the direction of the Contracts Manager for Projects & Outages, support the planning, progress tracking and reporting needs of complex projects & outages
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Develop and manage outage schedules for multiple projects
- Support the estimate development team and budgeting activities as necessary in the tendering stage by analysing historical outage scheduling data, developing tender schedules in accordance with the specification
- Develop comprehensive outage schedules in consultation with site leads and SME's
- Coordinate with site personnel to ensure project hours are accurately captured to appropriate project activities and physical progress has been captured adequately and in line with forecasted goals
- During outage events update outage schedule as required by the contract and deliver concise progress reports to include S-curves, 3 day look aheads and forecasted end dates
- Provide analysis and recommendation for potential project performance improvements including mitigation measures
- Analyse earned value hours for projects
- Manage interfaces with outage subcontractor scopes within the schedule
- Develop project controls plans and work trackers tailored to the needs of the project and Contract Managers requirements
- Work with the Project Controls Specialist to provide accurate and timely data for project reporting using the business preferred project reporting platform
- Calculation of schedule performance indices by project
- Maintain all project/outage schedules for historical data and benchmarking purposes
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
- Proficient in utilization of Primavera P6 and Microsoft project software including PWA (Project Online)
- Proficient in Project Controls and Earned Value Management.
- Demonstrated Planning experience in major/complex power plant projects.
- Proficient in data visualization (converting raw data into useful metrics/charts)
- Sound working knowledge in Excel
- Able to work in a multi-functional team
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to complete multiple projects within nominated time constraints and reporting frequencies
- Occasional travel within ANZ will be required
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**:
- 10+ years of demonstrated project planning experience in the power generation industry
- Good knowledge of thermal & gas fired power plants
- Field experience in the power generation industry on turbines or boiler plant
- Comfortable working with all levels and functions in a constructive manner to achieve the desired outcomes
- Recognised qualification in engineering or project management along with SAP knowledge is desirable
