**About the role**:
The Middle Distillate Scheduler is a pivotal role at the refinery responsible for managing the production and supply of Diesel and Jet from the crude distillation units all the way through to the primary fuel terminals across the country. In addition to the distillate fuels you will also be responsible for the bitumen and fuel oil programs, working through feedstock purchasing, manufacture and delivery of these products to end customers. You will love problem solving and thinking on your feet as you take proactive actions to optimize refinery units, adapting to operational changes and ensure excellent product quality while meeting the business supply requirements. The refinery distillate scheduler will have direct influence over daily refinery production, and this includes operation of the diesel hydrotreater, bitumen manufacture, and fuel oil blending and supply logistics. You will be part of an experienced economics and scheduling team with scope to learn about both technical and commercial aspects of the refining business and the broader hydrocarbon supply chain.

**About you**:
Tertiary qualified with a background in engineering, science or business major. Some commercial experience would be preferable including having had exposure to forecasting, planning and scheduling across supply chain operations. You will have excellent time management and organisational skills and be experienced in juggling multiple events with the ability to prioritise completing tasks with competing deadlines. _You will enjoy building cooperative working relationships, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and be a lateral thinker with well-developed analytical and pro-active problems solving skills_
