This is our pledge to meet an ambitious goal: the elimination of all greenhouse gases from our work by 2030.Your RoleAs aProject Architect, you manage, organize and coordinate with design team members to complete architectural projects and be responsible for design development of projects from concept to construction documentation stages of work.
You ensure that the production of design documents is in concert with the design intent and resolves complex technical/design issues.
You will be an integral part of the design team, leading towards a cohesive and rational design solution which confirms the project brief, and is technically, legally and financially responsible.You're a fit for this role if you have experience in project's conceptual design through execution, are proficient in Revit, and enjoy working with a team of architects/ designers that bring design dreams to life.
This is a good role for someone who is technically proficient and enjoys working with a highly creative, collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence.What You Will DoPerform design assignments that include conceptual design, schematic design, design development & construction documents.Provides design support for completion and execution of design projectsLead and participate in project meetings and presentations; ensure client is adequately briefed on project progress.Solves complex design problems through schematic design and design developmentDevelop space planning concepts and generate program documentsParticipate in selection of palettes & material presentations, and generate specifications for client presentationsResearch and recommend appropriate systems, materials and finishesManage multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)Support communication between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultantsGuide the team to design in alignment with the local and national codesGuide skill development of junior designersContribute to and reinforce the "team effort" method of producing design projectsTake responsibility for implementing approved briefing approachActively participate and contribute to the financial performance of projectEstablish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships through successful project deliveryParticipation in business development effortParticipate in exciting design and research projects and bring a new perspective to what we do for our clientsContribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programsYour QualificationsAustralian Registered Architect.6+ years minimum postgrad experience in Australia.Strong understanding of NCC/BCA and City of Sydney Planning Regulations.Advanced Revit user.Strong project management & control, and team leadership skills.Strong client presentation skills.Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices.Aptitude for DFMAD (Designing For Manufacturing Assembly and Disassembly) highly desirable.Your Design Technology QualificationsEssential:Deep knowledge and experience in Autodesk Revit for design authoring, documentation, data extracts and project delivery.Experience in collaboration within the BIM context, including cloud-based markups, consultant coordination and clash detection.Deep understanding of Real-Time Visualization development within the context of BIM, specifically in the use of Escape/ other rendering mediums.Experience in creating FF&E schemes and developing them through detailed technical specificationDesirable:Working knowledge in the use of VR walkthroughs and panoramas for client presentations, consultant coordination and internal design reviewApplications we work with:Design Authoring - Revit, Rhino, Autocad, NavisworksCollaboration - BIM360
