The Y Queensland's childcare services has been at the heart of Australian communities for more than 40 years, with our first early learning service opening in Brisbane in 1977 after we identified the need for childcare that focused on helping children grow in body, mind and spirit.

YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provides fun, stimulating and safe care for primary and secondary school children before and after school. At OSHC, children have the opportunity to participate in cooking, sport, music, art, dance and so much more.

**We are excited to announce that YMCA has acquired the OSHC site based at Wooloowin State School on Brisbane's inner north side**

An oppportunity for an experienced** Coordinator** to join our exceptional team is now available

The **Coordinator** is required on a **permanent, full time** basis (38 hours per week).

This OSHC-dedicated site is set amongst beautiful grounds including an undercover eating area, two large age-appropriate playgrounds and an expansive oval, allowing kids to run wild both physically and with their imagination.

Our program is developed according to the My Time Our Place Framework and is centralised around the elements of Belonging, Being and Becoming. The program is aimed at providing our children with opportunities to learn, develop and grow through play, allowing them to learn about their world and develop a sense of self.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
- Assist in the planning, preparation, implementation and evaluation of the program in keeping with NQF requirements
- Undertake active and safe supervision of children to ensure our duty of care is met at all times
- Record all relevant observations of the children to support future program planning
- Support inclusive practices for children with additional needs alongside their peers
- Provide age-appropriate resources and activities that allow for children to make independent choices and connections

**ABOUT YOU**

**The Coordinator** must hold a tertiary qualification in Community, Childcare, Teaching, Disability (or equivalent) or Certificate 3 in Children's Services, in addition to demonstrated experience in a similar OSHC environment.
- Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service
- Hold or be willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
- Hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one
- National Quality Framework knowledge advantageous
