As a Safety Coordinator, you'll play a key supporting role within the VIC/TAS/SA Regional Safety Advisory Team. Responsible for a defined portfolio within a specific business unit, you'll contribute to the development, implementation, and oversight of Qantas' safety strategy, systems, frameworks, policies, and procedures. This role focuses on strengthening safety assurance and incident management activities, delivering accurate safety data and analysis, and coordinating risk management processes and documentation. You'll also collaborate closely with Safety Advisors to ensure regulatory compliance and foster a proactive, high-performing safety culture across the Qantas workforce.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Diploma or Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
- 2 + years experience in a Safety Coordination positions, ideally within an operational environment is preferable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction from others
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret and present data.
- Ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders
- Self-motivated, with the ability to show initiative and flexibility
- A positive, results focused disposition and do not shy away from challenges being thrown your way
