Primary Metals and Alloys based in Qld, is seeking experienced Procurement Manager to join their friendly team of professionals on a full time and permanent basis.

The role includes but is not limited to:

- Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce overall expenses while increasing productivity
- Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Approving purchase orders, organising and confirming delivery schedule of goods and services ensuring order fulfillment.
- Monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels
- Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly procurement reports
- Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations
- Keep abreast of changing industry trends
- Ad hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

- Trade qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience in the same field
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
- Management and leadership skills.
- Machining background an advantage
- Knowledge in forklift operation an advantage
- Physically fit
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Salary**: Guaranteed annual earnings of at least $70,000 + Super

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
