The Environmental Services division encompasses a vast array of solutions based operations which include the management and treatment of controlled waste, recovery & reuse of organic waste streams and significant waste recovery through our newly developed Reprocess Tas operations which recovers waste aggregates from the construction & demolition sector which through reprocessing is turned back into an AU standard product for reuse.
**About the Role**
This position will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of asbestos, contaminated materials and demolition business units. The role will involve a combination of site based and office work depending on operational requirements and will work closely with the Asbestos and Contaminated Materials Manager to ensure all processes, systems and procedures are diligently adhered to.
**Key Position Duties**
Main duties consist of the following:
- Be responsible for the operational management of all residential projects within the Asbestos, Contaminated Materials & Demolition Business Unit.
- Work with site supervisors to ensure efficient projects operate in an efficient and effective manner.
- Manage all site based safety systems and ensure ongoing internal auditing requirements are implemented.
- Assist with the daily planning and management of Asbestos, Contamination Materials & Demolition work crews and equipment.
- Assist with the preparation of Quotations for asbestos removal projects and ensure their completion to budget and in accordance with customer requirements.
- Provide mentoring and support to asbestos removalists.
- Auditing sites and developing asbestos registers to submit to clients.

- Understand revenue and costs for projects quotation purposes and project management.
- The ability to lead by example and provide training to less experienced asbestos removalists.
- Participate in estimating asbestos and demolition removal projects.
- To understand any potential for providing value added services to existing customer base.
- Works with management to increase the environmental opportunities that will maximise revenue and provide long term sustainability.
**Desirable**
- Demonstrated experience dealing with complex asbestos removals and asbestos contaminated sites.
- The ability to Supervise both A and B Class Asbestos and Contaminated Materials removal projects.
- Relevant environmental project training or experience
- Good judgement, and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines
