You will play a key role in developing and implementing our Corporate Environmental Management Plan and Sustainability Strategy. Your expertise will guide our decision-making process, ensuring we stay on track with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Technical Environmental Advice: Offer specialist advice on projects, leases, licences, environmental studies, and audits.
- Develop Environmental Management Systems: Review and develop EMS guidelines for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Conduct Environmental Audits: Evaluate the environmental impact of TasPorts sites and infrastructure projects, identifying areas for improvement.
- Evaluate Project Compliance: Assess project compliance with regulatory approvals and approved environmental management plans.
- Facilitate Environmental Approvals: Coordinate environmental approval processes for projects, ensuring timely completion.
- Project Manage Contaminated Site Assessments: Oversee contaminated site assessments as required, ensuring accurate results and recommendations.
- Deliver Internal Environmental Training: Provide training to colleagues on environmental best practices, promoting a culture of sustainability within the organisation.
