Asbestos Management Specialist

The role will involve supporting the day-to-day operations of asbestos, contaminated materials and demolition business units. You will be responsible for operational management of all residential projects within the business unit, working closely with site supervisors to ensure efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all site-based safety systems and ensure ongoing internal auditing requirements are implemented.
  • Assist with daily planning and management of Asbestos, Contaminated Materials & Demolition work crews and equipment.
  • Prepare quotations for asbestos removal projects and ensure their completion to budget and in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Provide mentoring and support to asbestos removalists.
  • Audit sites and develop asbestos registers to submit to clients.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate in line with company policies and practices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health, safety and environmental management requirements relative to this position.
  • Proven experience setting and achieving daily KPIs.
  • Ability to lead by example and provide training to less experienced asbestos removalists.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience dealing with complex asbestos removals and asbestos contaminated sites.
  • Ability to supervise both A and B Class Asbestos and Contaminated Materials removal projects.
  • Relevant environmental project training or experience.
