Established in 1985, it manufactures and markets conveyor components including pulleys, idlers, rapid advance-rapid retreat components and drive-heads, and provides on-site installation, maintenance, and relocation of conveyor installations.Our OpportunityTo support our ongoing growth, NEPEAN Conveyors NSW are currently seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Site Services team.
This position is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in our design and manufacturing facility in Unanderra, NSW or closest NEPEAN office.Daily Duties Will Typically IncludeRepresent NEPEAN Conveyors while engaged by our customers on their sites for site engineering activities.Preliminary engineering design and layout works for conveyors systems.Complete detailed drawings, general arrangements, schematics and/or sketches when required.Deliver audit reports and complete calculations for conveyor systems and related structures against the appropriate Australian or ISO standards.Undertake audits of customers fixed and mobile plant as directed.Innovate, scrutinise and economically optimise designs to achieve best value solution.Execute and manage document administration tasks including issue of documents, drawings, reports and revision control when required.Monitor and control the schedule, budget, and quality of work that is assigned to you and/or your team.Undertake investigation for field related issues or improvement opportunitiesWork with and support our engaged third-party contractorsUndertake commissioning activities when requiredSeek new opportunities to support growth of the site service businessThe Ideal Candidate For This Position Would HaveMinimum 5 years' experience within a similar role, ideally in bulk material handling background or heavy industrial/mining industryTertiary qualifications in a related discipline, Project Management, Mechanical Engineering and Drafting.Full Driver License (Class C)Conveyor experienceProficiency in CAD software, preferably AutoCAD and Inventor and Vault.Bachelor of Engineering Degree in a Mechanical disciplineThe Benefits Nepean OfferCareer advancement opportunitiesA professional and friendly team working environment.Ongoing training and supportOnsite workshop to see your designs come together from concept through fabrication and operation.Employee Assistance Program (EAP), wellbeing assistance that's free for all the family.If you're ready for your next challenge, please click on "Apply Now" and forward your interest today
