**Role**:
**This position comes with a 30 day leave purchase allowance which requires you to work 5 days in each of the school holiday periods (Apr, Jul, Sept) and 15 days in the January holidays.**

Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction mínimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.

Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.

An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee's position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.

**Summary**

**Specific Responsibilities**

**College Operations**
- Develop and coordinate processes for planning and managing college events and daily operations such as Parent-Teacher Conferences, Assemblies, Year Level Exams, Head Start, Year 6¿7 Transition, alternative scheduling of classes, and after-school events like Information Nights and Course Counselling.
- Oversee the Daily Operations of the College, ensuring all classes and programs are appropriately staffed, and that CRT costs and HR records are effectively and efficiently managed.
- Oversee the management of the CRT budget, extras, and under/allotted time, ensuring effective use of human resources.

**College Timetable**
- Construct and maintain the annual College Timetable (Edval) to meet curriculum delivery and workforce planning requirements.
- Ensure the timetable is published and accessible via the Xuno/Compass Learning Management System.

**Staff Recruitment**
- Liaise with relevant staff, including the Principals and Learning Area Leaders, to identify workforce needs and support the recruitment of high-quality staff.
- Coordinate timelines and operational logistics related to recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new staff.
- Support alignment between workforce planning, timetable development, and student needs to ensure a balanced and efficient staffing structure.

**Student Transitions**
- Lead operational planning for key student transition points, including Year 6-7 and Year 10-11.
- Support the organisation and delivery of course counselling processes across the College, ensuring that systems and resources are in place for students to make informed decisions.

**Systems and Infrastructure**
- Lead the development and implementation of the Compass Learning Management System and its modules to enhance college systems, operations, and student learning outcomes.
- Develop and deliver professional learning for staff on the effective use of Compass modules.
- Ensure integration and functionality between Compass and associated third-party software (e.g., Edval, CASES21).

**General**
- Provide records and data on college operations for annual evaluation and feedback to the principal and school leaders on areas for improvement.
- Be available outside regular school hours when operational needs (e.g., urgent timetable changes) arise.
- Perform other duties as delegated by the principal.
