The right person will be someone who has excellent stakeholder management skills and can coach and support the business by making recommendations which achieve the best outcomes for injured employees.

**About the role**

As the Work Health Safety and Return to Work Business Partner you will join the People and Culture Team to drive positive change and improved practices throughout the organisation. You will be a key advisor to business leaders and staff in general. You will complete integral WHS and P&C projects, plans and initiatives. Your expertise will ensure that policies, procedures and forms are up-to-date, accurately and reflect current practice and, through monthly reporting, track progress and demonstrate continuous improvement.

This role will also be a proactive Return to Work Coordinator responsible for the case management of all existing claims and liaise with injured staff members, management, nominated treating doctors, external RTW consultants and any other party to enable the recovery and return to work. With the Executive Manager People and Culture, this role will be the SME in reference to return to work processes, legal matters and practices.

**To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate**:

- At least 3 years of experience as a Work Health and Safety professional and Return to Work Coordinator
- Ability to conduct audits and inspections and support improved outcomes and compliance with WHS legislation, regulations and internal policies and procedures
- An understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and the Fair Work Act
- Experience in creating and reviewing WHS policy and procedures
- Contribution to the development and implementation of an effective and effective Safety Management Systems
- You hold or are working towards a related formal qualification in work health and safety. You hold the Return to Return to Work Coordination qualification
- A desire to coach, support and advise the business to encourage and improved safety culture
- Experience in preparing reports on WHS key performance areas
