**About the role**
We're searching for a Team Manager to join our crew in the Property Claims (Natural Hazards) division at RACQ Insurance. Your role, under the guidance of the Operations Manager, will be to ensure our claims team consistently delivers timely and high-quality outcomes. You'll take charge of the day-to-day operations, making sure claims are handled efficiently, maintaining quality, and providing our members with an exceptional experience. You'll also ensure that claims are processed in line with our policy guidelines, delegated authorities, company procedures, and industry regulations. Your contribution to the success of the Claims Team will be invaluable, and your actions will reflect our RACQ values. Your key duties will include:
- Lead, coach and mentor a Claims Management team, ensuring the attainment of performance indicators and objectives, while effectively managing the team during periods of organisational change.
- Effectively manage staff performance and behaviours in line with RACQ group policy to achieve business objectives.
- Promote effective communication between internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Devise, encourage, and implement initiatives and strategies to improve work practices.
- Oversee customer feedback and escalations and provide team members with feedback and coaching.
**About you**
We are seeking a skilled leader to oversee our team, which consists of varying amounts of experience. As the team manager, you will be able to identify and utilise the strengths of each team member, fostering their development and growth to deliver exceptional outcomes for our members. Your ability to embrace and leverage the diverse competencies of the team will be crucial in driving success and achieving the best results. Ideally you will have:
- At least 2-5 years relevant experience across leading a large team
- Insurance industry experience is desired but other industries will certainly be considered
- Strong leadership skills, including extensive experience within performance management, a high level of proven ability to motivate staff to achieve personal and business objectives
- Demonstrated experience in identifying, creating, developing and maintaining effective relationships
- Member-focused mindset, high empathy and service delivery are a must
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
