You'll review delegated tasks, manage workflows, and support continuous process improvements while maintaining strong governance.While the accounting firm is based in Brisbane, this is a fully remote opportunity.
You can be based anywhere in Australia, as long as you have a high-speed and stable internet connection.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide training to remote team members in line with established internal processesManage and delegate work across the remote bookkeeping teamReview and approve work completed by remote team members in line with established internal processesProvide mentorship and performance feedbackWork Allocation & Quality ControlReview completed work for accuracy, completeness, and complianceEnsure tasks meet Australian bookkeeping standards and deadlinesAdapt to practice management systems for task managementReporting & ComplianceOversee the preparation of financial reports and assist with reconciliations, BAS, payroll, superannuation, and tax filingsCreate and follow working papersEnsure compliance with Australian regulations and accounting standardsNurturing client relationships, acting as the key contact for a subset of clientsAct as liaison between offshore team, internal stakeholders, and external advisors/auditorsMaintain strong communication channels and provide updatesQualificationsMinimum 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in an Australian backgroundProven experience managing teams, ideally including offshore staffProficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and other relevant softwareStrong knowledge of Australian tax (BAS/IAS), payroll, superannuation, and compliance practicesExcellent attention to detail, organisational ability, and communication skillsDegree in Accounting or relevant certification (CPA / BAS Agent / equivalent) preferred
