Experience it here.Your responsibilities will include :The Hobart Class Combat System is at the forefront of advanced naval technology and provides the strategic advantage for Defence.Based at Garden Island, you will join the Naval Combat System (CS) Engineering Team within LMA.The Lead Systems Engineer (Combat System) is responsible for assisting with the execution of engineering activities related to upgrades and updates on in-service naval platforms within the Navy's fleet.The key responsibilities will include :Providing engineering guidance for the weapon system to the customer (RAN).
Liaising with stakeholders to develop and maintain the technical framework.Conducting Engineering Change activities in accordance with the formal process.Engaging with stakeholders on planning and scheduling engineering changes.Drafting Liaison Information Transfer Reports for foreign support coordination with SMEs.Preparing Computer Program Test Observation Reports for Combat System baseline updates and operations.Interacting with the Systems Engineering Integration Team and other disciplines.Why Join Us?

To be successful, you'll ideally have :A background in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering with a degree qualification.Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle including requirements, design, testing, and integration.Experience in risk management and continuous improvement practices.Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve goals.Understanding of modern systems engineering practices and tools (e.g., MBSE, Agile).
Experience with the integration, testing, and evaluation of Combat Systems into Naval Platforms or similar complex military systems is desirable.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey technical concepts clearly.An Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to handle export-controlled technology and data.Special Requirements :Applicants must be eligible for an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
