NurseLink Healthcare is seeking a Laundry Assistant to join our team. The Laundry Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, uniforms, and personal clothing items are cleaned, dried, and maintained to the highest hygiene standards in compliance with healthcare regulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collect, sort, and process soiled laundry, including bedding, towels, uniforms, and patient clothing.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment according to manufacturer and safety guidelines.
- Use appropriate detergents, disinfectants, and stain removers to ensure proper sanitation.
- Fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry to the appropriate areas or individuals.
- Inspect linens and clothing for wear and tear, and report any damages or missing items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room.
- Follow infection control procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
- Ensure proper storage of clean laundry and monitor stock levels of supplies such as detergents and softeners.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety standards.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in laundry services, preferably in healthcare, aged care, or hospitality settings.
- Knowledge of washing and fabric care instructions, including handling delicate items.
- Understanding of infection control protocols and safe handling of soiled laundry (training can be provided).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Physical ability to handle heavy loads, stand for long periods, and work in a warm environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays if required.

**Working Conditions**:
Laundry Assistants work in healthcare settings, aged care facilities, or hospitals, handling a high volume of laundry. The role involves standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and working in a humid environment.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $32.00 - $60.00 per hour

**Experience**:
