About the role
Leading a team of Community Support Workers, you will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of support services at our new Short Term Accommodation in Toukley. This includes the management of person-centred support programs, service budgets, internal and external stakeholder relationships, and community engagement.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure high-quality services are consistently provided to clients and their families
- Lead and support a team of Community Support Workers
- Oversee and manage daily operations of your support services and, where required, provide direct support to people with disability
- Manage programs within the approved budget and are in line with client needs and support plans
- Provide coaching and developing opportunities, manage conflict and address performance within your team
- Contribute to the growth of Sunnyfield through the development and expansion of your service, client acquisition and retention
About you
- Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in a Team Leader or Service Manager role within the disability sector or related field
- A sound understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its funding and policy protocols, standards and processes
- Capacity to effectively deliver and monitor service provisions to budget
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient computer literacy skills with the ability to learn new systems
- NSW Working With Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
