We have a new career opportunity for a Bank Compliance Advisor to join the Bank Resilience team. Reporting to the Head of Bank Resilience, this role will be responsible for supporting the Bank with first line compliance advisory and assurance to ensure the Bank meets its compliance obligations. You will work closely with second
- and third-line risk and compliance departments, particularly compliance staff. Your key duties will be to:
- Assist leaders with successful delivery and implementation of policies, processes and compliance tools focusing on operational incidents and prioritisation of treatment actions
- Assist leaders in the identification and management of incidents as they relate to compliance breaches. This includes ensuring robust root cause analysis is conducted and provide guidance on any remediation activities identified.
- Implementation and ongoing review, management and testing of Operational Compliance Plans including reporting on trends as they relate to control effectiveness and incident reporting (root cause trends). A key focus is on trend analysis to identify emerging compliance risks and potential systemic issues. Work closely with second line compliance to stay abreast of new regulatory requirements and changes to existing compliance obligations
- Drive continuous improvement of compliance decision making, reporting and monitoring
- Support in the delivery of regulatory change to ensure robust impact assessments of the change against the current control environment is undertaken.
**About you**
- A tertiary degree in a relevant study area
- At least 12 months compliance experience within financial services or similar industry
- An analytical mindset, inquisitive nature, and exceptional change management skills
- Well-developed communication skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including a strong voice - courage to speak up when things are wrong.
- Strong working knowledge of financial services operations including regulatory environments.
