Join our dynamic team at RACQ Insurance as a Principal Compliance Advisor. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by coordinating insurance responses to regulatory requests and supporting risk-based decision making.

The Insurance Risk and Resilience team collaborates closely with the insurance business to achieve enhanced outcomes through robust risk management practices. We provide expert advice, support, and insights across all aspects of risk, compliance, and incident management. Our team of Principal Risk and Compliance Advisors are dedicated to elevating our risk maturity and ensuring adherence to internal and regulatory requirements.

**About the role**

This role is responsible for leading the coordination of responses to regulatory requests by liaising with senior leaders across insurance to ensure timely and high-quality completion. The role also involves:

- Monitoring, oversight and reporting of upcoming regulatory requests and changes affecting insurance, including assessment of impacts and implementation of actions.
- Development and maintenance of a due diligence library for consistent and evidence-based responses to regulatory and/or external requests.
- Conducting compliance assessments and providing compliance advice, education and recommendations to insurance staff.
- Assistance in embedding and uplift of incident management processes with a focus on compliance-related requirements.
- Working with obligation owners to ensure maintenance of operational compliance plans and supporting the insurance business to understand their obligations.

**About you**
- In-depth knowledge of insurance processes, particularly in claims and/or product distribution.
- Proven track record in managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively.
- Excellent written communication skills for preparing regulatory responses and reports.

Desirable Skills:

- Familiarity with insurance compliance obligations.
- Experience in risk, compliance, audit, or governance roles within the insurance sector.
