An Australian R&D and manufacturing company developing advanced defence and industrial systems is expanding its leadership team and now hiring anEngineering Projects Coordinatorto support the CEO in driving complex engineering and business priorities at pace.
In this role, you will work closely with the CEO to manage planning, monitoring, reporting, and internal communications across multiple projects and business initiatives.
You will review technical documentation, prepare executive briefs and presentations, and ensure critical actions are tracked and delivered.
Acting as a key liaison, you will represent the CEO internally, ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, and leadership teams.
Because much of the work involves reviewing engineering documentation and understanding complex technical discussions, an engineering qualification is essential.
This ensures you can identify priorities, grasp technical context, and communicate effectively with engineering teams, allowing the CEO to move quickly without missing critical details.
This role is open to motivated junior candidates who have the right engineering background and are eager to grow into a project-focused career.
This is a full-time, Adelaide-based role with excellent access to public transport and parking.
Full relocation is required for interstate candidates; cost assistance is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Work directly with the CEO to support planning, monitoring, and reporting activities.
Review technical documentation and identify priority items requiring CEO attention.
Prepare executive reports, briefs, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Track communications, actions, and deadlines to ensure follow-through.
Liaise with engineering and business teams to represent CEO priorities.
Anticipate requirements and proactively ensure the CEO remains across critical issues.
Requirements:
Degree-qualified Engineer in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Systems disciplines.
Experience in engineering with an interest in transitioning to project management.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at speed.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work hands-on and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Must be an Australian citizen.
Desirable but not essential:
Prior experience in defence, aerospace, or high-technology industries.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and executive reporting.
