Civil Engineering Project Coordinator Job Description

As a Civil Engineering Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include managing the contracting process, developing and maintaining project procedures, monitoring project risks, and overseeing daily project processes to ensure quality deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field, along with proven experience in contract administration or project management within the civil engineering or construction industry. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management: Manage the contracting process with new clients, ensuring all legal aspects of the business are covered.
  • Project Procedures: Develop and maintain a process for creating projects, including setting up SharePoint files and ensuring contracts are signed and stored correctly.
  • Risk Management: Identify and monitor project risks, reporting emerging issues to the Commercial Team.
  • Daily Oversight: Oversee project processes daily to ensure the quality of deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in contract administration or project management within the civil engineering or construction industry, with a solid understanding of contract law, construction contracts, and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with contract management software and systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
