**Your role in our future.
- The Operating Suite at Peter Mac is currently recruiting experienced Theatre Technicians to join our casual bank. Applicants must have a Certificate III in Operating Theatre Technical Support, have enough experience to work independently and be flexible to fill in staff shortfalls as required.

Our Operating Suite manages patients across Victoria, Australia and New Zealand and offers a broad variety of specialities including brachytherapy and robotic surgery.
- The Theatre Technician position works closely with medical and nursing staff to support the patient's journey and experience of care by providing a range of specialised technical support services.
- **The role encompasses**:

- Providing assistance to nursing and medical staff before, during and after surgery
- Providing safe positioning of patients on the operating table and when transferring patients
- Assisting with Anaesthetic positioning
- Ensuring theatre equipment is available at all times and in good working order
- Maintaining a high standard of cleaning and housekeeping to support infection control and patient comfort
- Transporting patients and or equipment with the department in a timely manner
- Maintaining the clinical environment by replenishing stock, disposing of waste, and putting new stock away
