**About The Role...**
Reporting to the National HSE Manager and working as part of a regional People Team, led by the HR Business Partner (NSW/ACT), this role contributes to the Alspec core values by coordinating a focus on Safety and the Environment through collaboration to drive the HSE national strategy at a regional level.
Some of the main responsibilities of this role include:
- Assisting the National HSE Manager in the rollout and promotion of the National HSE strategy
- Assist the Branch Managers and Operations Manager in ensuring compliance to the HSE calendar for the sites, ensuring timely completion of all tasks as required
- Maintain all safety registers, ensuring that all required documentation is kept up to date and valid
- Reporting of site compliance to safety requirements to Regional and National Management
- Coordinate safety drills, reporting on corrective actions or improvements, this includes but, not limited to Fire, First Aid, and general evacuations
- Carry out analysis of risks, using the hierarchy of controls to ensure that the business is using best practice to eliminate or control risks
- Be an environmental advocate for the region, contributing to continuous improvement to reduce any negative impacts identified
- Coordinating the Return to Work (RTW) program for the region
- Assisting in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures and training, to ensure that safety concerns are addressed
- Assist in coordinating or conduct training in areas such as safety legislation and regulation, hazardous material handling and use of safety equipment.

Applicants will also need to have:
- Cert IV or above in WHS or another related qualification
- At Alspec, keeping our people and others safe is a way of life, you must be as passionate about safety as we are.
- You will have had a prior history of warehousing, logistics or manufacturing with exposure or experience to Safety.
- You will have the ability to work to tight deadlines, be reliable and self-motivated, have a willingness to take on additional tasks and value personal and team safety.
You will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing and must have contactable work references.
