Workshop Leading Hand / Senior CNC Machinist

ARC is an established manufacturing and installation company with over 30 years of experience. Specialising in the design, manufacturing, and fabrication of high-end building systems with ongoing projects with major architects and builders, we are now in the market for a Leading Hand to join our workshop located in Hornsby.

The Role

This role is for someone who leads by example, hands on and still willing to operate a CNC machine while managing a team of machine operators and sheetmetal fabricators. Reporting directly to the Technical Manager and Floor Manager, this exciting position will allow you to manage the fabrication of projects from design stages through to manufacturing completion.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Leadership of your own team and division.
- Working closely & communicating effectively with the Floor Manager, Machine Operators, Fabricators, Designers and Operations Team.
- Maintenance of production schedule and operating manuals/procedures.

To Be Considered
- Experienced CNC Machine Operator (Sheetmetal) ideally in folding machines, break presses or cutting machines.
- Proven track record of managing small teams.
- Mechanical aptitude and a forward thinker.
- Ability to work under pressure and can meet production deadlines.
- Team orientated and can drive others.

**Salary**: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hornsby, NSW 2077: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Leading Hand: 1 year (preferred)
- CNC Machinery: 2 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
