We have an opportunity for a **Leading Hand **to join our team at our **Girraween Workshop**. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and forms part of the Workshop Leadership Team. The Leading Hand's role is to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the workshop, and to 'step up' to the role of Supervisor when required. This role is being offered as a full-time Monday to Friday position, with shift times generally around 10am to 6pm however start times may be flexible either way.

**In your new role with us, you will**:

- Supervise and carry out required mechanical work and maintenance on our Agitator and Tipper Truck Fleet
- Ensure the workshop is adequately maintained and stock levels of components and consumables are maintained
- Actively encourage safety in the yard through positive feedback and safety conversations
- Comply with all reporting requirements for operational and risk reporting
- Coordinate training as required for all employees in your operation(s) considering both safety and development

**This role is a great fit for you if**:

- Have 5 years experience with a trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Have experience in pneumatic, hydraulic systems and Electrical Systems
- Understanding of Standard Heavy Vehicle Driver Hours and Chain of Responsibility
- HR Truck licence
- Isuzu / Mack Experience
- You are results focused, self-motivated and have a total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm and understand safety systems, work methods and risk assessments
- You are a team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure
- You have a positive presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
