This is an exciting opportunity for someone to grow their career within Telstra, you'll have the opportunity to work within the Networking and construction team where you'll be completing installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of network sites without direct supervision.

To ensure we continue to be able to satisfy our customer expectation of a 24/7 network, each role will be established with a shift work component.

**About the Role**

As a **Constructor Operative**, you will be accountable for:

- Ensuring work is managed in a timely cost-effective manner, working to standards to meet the performance targets set.
- Working independently or within a team environment contributing to the delivery of a premium level of service to customers
- Managing a range of tasks to build, augment, decommission, integrate, commission, analyse and maintain telecommunications network infrastructure ensuring compliance with documented processes and procedures.
- Achieving faultless end to end construction, provisioning & Maintenance of the network and associated infrastructure through compliance to prescribed standards, practices and procedures, and to the full satisfaction of stakeholder expectation
- Providing high level of technical support & guidance.
- Providing on the job training to team members, trainees or less experienced operatives.
- Analysing complex system faults where a high level of diagnostic skill is required.

**About you**

The following skills and experience will help you to be successful in the role:

- Driver's Licence
- Recognised equivalent industry on the job experience
- Prior experience in IP Network, Transmission DWDM, SDH, ADSL, and Access Products
- Knowledgeable in Mobile network (3G,4G,5G)
- Innovative mindset
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Certificate III or IV in Telecommunications
