
Manager Suicide Prevention Data Analytics

About the role
Specifically, this role will lead and manage the day-to-day activities related to enhancing capacity for suicide prevention surveillance and evaluation, including:
- establishing and supporting implementation of systems for monitoring and reporting on comprehensive pathways of care for suicide-related presentations across partner Hospital and Health Services in Queensland and PHNs
- evaluate the impact of a comprehensive pathway of care (from presentation, assessment, treatment within the HHS to referral, engagement and intervention delivery in aftercare services such as The Way Back Support Service)
About you
- Whilst not mandatory evaluation or data related experience in a mental health related field and/or demonstrated experience in research, including ethics and governance, data management and analysis, and management and writing for diverse audiences, would be highly desirable.
- A track record in suicide prevention research and/or data surveillance would be highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification equivalent to Masters or PhD in a related field (e.g., psychology, health sciences, public health or statistics) would be desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, managing and implementing complex projects including the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities, manage change, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement to meet deadlines and commitments.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to review and synthesise information from multiple sources, draw accurate conclusions and provide authoritative advice to decision-makers.
- High level of communication, consultation, negotiation, and liaison skills including writing skills and the capacity to build effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated high level of oral and written communication skills particularly with respect to the preparation of accurate and concise correspondence, reports, submissions, and briefing papers.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, establish priorities and work as an effective member of a team to successfully contribute to organisational objectives.
- Experience in co-design and co-delivery of projects and/or service improvement activities is desirable.
