The Sportsgirl team champions our vibrant community, Generation Sportsgirl, every step of the way.Our OpportunityBased at our Head Office in Cremorne, this Buying Assistant role supports the product development cycle and is a key part of our team and business.You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the Buyer to improve financial results and meet business objectives.With your experience in creating CADs, fashion sense, and administrative skills, you'll quickly adapt to various responsibilities while continuously learning and developing.You will assist with product development, maintain supplier relationships, and collaborate with other teams across the brand.What your day-to-day will look likeCreate CADs for trend collectionsManage orders, range sheets, and associated administrationPrepare weekly sales reports, merchandise racks, and product analysisManage samples effectivelyCoordinate with the Planning team on orders and delivery updatesContribute creative input for product developmentAttend fit sessions and review garments on the bodyCommunicate daily with vendorsMaintain effective communication across departmentsOur ideal candidate will haveRelevant education, such as a Design/Buying/Merchandise Diploma or Business/Commercial degreePrevious experience as a Buying Assistant in fashion retail preferredA passion for product and growth in this fieldExperience creating CADs and proficiency in Illustrator, InDesign, & PhotoshopStrong knowledge of MS Office SuiteAdministrative management skillsA proactive, collaborative, and adaptable mindsetWhy choose a career at Sportsgirl:Join a Certified B Corporation and be part of a purpose-driven companyEngage in impact initiatives like the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)Participate in our community partnership with headspace, the National Youth Mental Health FoundationBe part of a supportive, creative, diverse, and growth-oriented teamBenefits include:Free onsite parkingGenerous team member product discountsDiscounted private health insuranceReferral bonusesFlexible work arrangementsCareer development opportunitiesThe Sussan Group values diversity and is committed to inclusive recruitment.
