
Survey Technician

We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic Survey Technician to join us at our Sunshine Coast office. This is a full-time role and would suit an experienced Technician or a Survey Assistant who is studying and looking to take the next step in their career with plenty of support and mentoring provided by our experienced team.
**Your Impact**
- Perform fieldwork functions, including set-out, as-constructed, volumetric, boundary marking and conformance survey
- Undertake field surveys using accepted techniques associated with good surveying practice.
- Organise resources, vehicle and staff for a field crew, including gear checks and loading materials and consumables into the vehicles
- Make an active contribution to ensuring equipment is looked after, that supplies of materials are kept at proper levels, that equipment and vehicle service intervals are observed, and that measuring equipment is calibrated.
- Ensure that all rechargeable batteries for instruments, drills, radios, etc are properly recharged and discharged.
- Report any equipment that needs repair, maintenance or servicing.
**What you need to succeed**
- A Diploma in Surveying or recognised equivalent or working towards
- A basic understanding of survey technologies including operating and maintaining of survey equipment such as GNSS, Total Stations and Data Recorders.
- Strong computer skills including understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A basic understanding of QLD survey legislation, guidelines and standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- A current open driver's licence.
