**Accounts Payable Specialist - Melbourne Office - Permanent Full Time**
We have a great opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team at Domain. Based in either Sydney or Melbourne, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our purchasing & accounts payable processes. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the purchasing manager, handling escalated issues, maintaining data integrity, providing training, documenting processes and reporting. This role requires close collaboration with various departments to effectively manage and improve our purchasing and accounts payable operations.

- Have intermediate + Excel skills and experience using medium to large accounting systems
- Experience in working in MS D365, MYOB and XERO is preferred but not a requirement
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
**Key Responsibilities**
- Resolving escalated accounts payable issues. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address and resolve complex AP-related problems.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounts payable data by performing regular audits, reconciliations, and validations. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, streamline workflows, automate manual tasks and assist in the integration of new businesses and Finance Systems.
- Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on purchasing processes, systems, and best practices. Conduct training sessions and develop training materials to ensure consistent understanding and adherence to AP policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of accounts payable processes, including standard operating procedures, guidelines, and workflow diagrams. Regularly review and update documentation to reflect any process changes or enhancements.
- Investigate and analyse defects in the accounts payable system or processes. Log defects, track progress, and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution. Conduct testing of system enhancements or changes to ensure they meet the required specifications.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics and SLAs for the accounts payable function. Track and analyse AP performance against established metrics and SLAs, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed targets.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve payment discrepancies, address issues, and maintain positive vendor relationships. Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments in accordance with contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, finance, and operations, to streamline processes, resolve issues, and improve overall financial performance.
- Generate and maintain various reports related to purchasing and accounts payable. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data, analyse trends, and provide insights to support decision-making and compliance requirements.
