**This opportunity**
As the Head of Digital Design, you will play a critical role in leading the design function across the TPG Telcom organisation.
You will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of design, including UI/UX, Visual Design, Design Operations, UX Research, Content & Copywriting and SEO. Your expertise and leadership will be essential in driving the creative direction, customer experience, and overall design strategy across our products and digital platforms.
This role is accountable for the design and user experience of multiple customer-facing digital assets within the TPG Telecom brand portfolio:
- My Vodafone app
- Lebara self-service App
You will play a pivotal role in fostering a customer first culture of data driven design, continuous improvement, collaboration, ultimately enabling us to deliver a best-in-class digital experiences to our customers.

Leadership:
- Build, inspire and coach a high-performing design team across an array of design disciplines.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
- Set clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and empower team members to take ownership of their work.
- Mentor and develop talent within the team, fostering their professional growth and creating a pipeline of future leaders.
- Champion a customer-first agenda across the organisation.
- Lead the experience design function across a multi-year transformation program (internal & external resources).
UI/UX:
- Define and implement a cohesive UI/UX strategy that aligns with our business goals and user needs.
- Lead a team of designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions and improve user experience.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design into product development processes.
Visual Design:
- Set the visual design direction, ensuring consistent branding and visual identity across all platforms.
- Create visually compelling designs, including layouts, graphics, and icons, that enhance user engagement and convey our brand message effectively.
- Stay up to date with design trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve and innovate visual design.
Design Operations:
- Establish and optimize design processes and workflows to ensure efficiency and quality in design deliverables.
- Manage design resources, including staffing, budgeting, and external vendor relationships.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive design culture, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.
- Leadership of our UX Research practice to ensure testing is part of our DNA and date driven designs.
Content and Copywriting:
- Oversee the creation of high-quality content and copy that aligns with our brand(s) voice and engages our target segments.
- Ensure consistency and clarity of messaging across various communication channels and touchpoints.
- Collaborate with marketing and brand teams to develop compelling storytelling strategies.
SEO:
- Oversee a team of SEO specialists to incorporate SEO best practices into design decisions and content creation.
- Optimize website and digital assets for search engine visibility and organic traffic growth.
- Stay informed about SEO trends and updates to continually refine strategies and improve search rankings.
- Collaborate with digital marketing teams to ensure cohesion across search strategies (SEO and SEM).
**Knowledge and experience**
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide high performing design / digital teams.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in Design, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment (UI/UX, Copywriting, Visual Design, UX Research).
