**About Us**:
Stretton State College is a high performing P-12 College with a current enrolment of 3450 students. We are a high performing school with an enrolment of approximately 3070 students across our primary (Gowan) and secondary (Illaweena) campuses. As we enter our eleventh year at Stretton State College we are excited to welcome new students and community members to our College.
We have worked to establish a school which has a strong values base, and strives to ensure a culture of high expectations for students and staff. Our school is one where students look forward to the challenges and opportunities each day, with an increasing focus on eLearning and the advancements of digital learning.
**About the Role**:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Lead the school department, in alignment with the school priorities and in collaboration with the school leadership team, to commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Display high quality leadership that sets high standards, and directly influences the engagement, improvement, achievement and wellbeing of staff and students.
- Leading teaching and learning within the context of the Humanities faculty, and with a focus on current pedagogical approaches, the Australian Curriculum and senior pathways including ATAR outcomes.
- Empowering students to experience academic growth and success through inclusive practices that enable access, participation purposeful engagement and yearly growth in learning.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
- Be futures oriented and strategic in the leadership of faculty and school improvement strategies.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the school department.
- Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.
