**YOUR ROLE**

This is an exciting opportunity for an Executive Manager, Internal Audit to join our Group Finance division on a full time permanent or contract basis in Sydney, Melbourne, or Auckland. Reporting to IAG's Executive General Manager, Internal Audit. This highly visible role will be responsible for the delivery of the internal audit reviews in a portfolio of several divisions. You will be accountable to attend and present reports directly to the relevant divisional executive risk committees and board audit and risk committees.

You will oversee the execution of the relevant divisional portfolios of risk-based audits, with a focus on building and maintaining an internal audit capability to enhance and protect organisational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight for relevant stakeholders, including IAG Executives and Board Audit Committees. This will be achieved by leading and coaching a high-performing, collaborative team of five or six individuals to provide an independent and objective assurance and advisory service designed to add value and improve operations through evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, business, or relevant field.
- Professional qualifications with IIA, CA, CPA or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years in aggregate in external or internal audit or risk roles.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial services or general insurance.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to build capability, optimising the performance of teams.
- Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders to deliver on reviews and meet business objectives.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability in managing complexity, ambiguity and responding to change.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Skill in examining and improving operations, processes and risk and control frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to define, plan and shape strategies and initiatives into tactical plans for successful delivery.
- Experience with creating a continuous improvement environment aligned with agile ways of working.
