Our client is an independently owned Australian distillery that focuses on quality and innovation to craft award-winning premium spirits.

This is a rare opportunity for someone with a love of retail and exceptional knowledge and passion for spirits. You will be responsible for driving sales and distribution in Melbourne by engaging with a diverse range of independent retailers, state-based and national banner groups. Your aim is to build such strong relationships with them that you'll become an extension of their business.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Developing and maintaining business relationships across retailers
- Develop & execute joint business plans with retailers
- Understand each account intimately to provide strategic solutions
- Drive suitable offers for the customers business and/or NPD
- Ensure performance targets for distribution & promotional activities
- Deliver & present core ranges, programs & new products
- Contribute to actively growing the profitability for the state
- Identify local market opportunities & develop initiatives accordingly
- Manage the process from opportunity identification to execution
- Working in collaboration with trade and marketing team to deliver activations

**Ideal Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years experience in the hospitality/retail/FMCG drinks industry
- Experience, high-level knowledge & understanding of drinks and retail compliance.
- Energetic, enthusiastic with a positive go-getter attitude
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proven ability to build professional relationships
- Highly motivated and target-driven
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Passion for the premium spirit/category knowledge
- CRM experience desirable
- Relevant qualification desirable (business, commerce or marketing)
- Willingness to learn and improve
- Ability to follow a call cycle and work autonomously
- Execute trade marketing strategies
