Auburn Girls High School is a partially academically selective and comprehensive high school with an enrolment of 850 girls, 98% of whom have a language background other than English.
The school has achieved strong HSC and NAPLAN results through evidence-based practices targeting literacy, numeracy, and HPGE.

General Selection Criteria
Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department\'s Aboriginal education policy
Specific Selection Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position.
In addition to the general selection criteria,
Proven leadership of a Learning Support Faculty to deliver high-quality teaching and support to students with additional learning needs, with ability to liaise and coordinate Departmental and external support services to meet specific learning needs
Proven ability to collect and analyse data, and build staff capacity to use data to improve practice and cater for diverse needs
Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to foster positive relationships with stakeholders and collaboratively develop and implement strategies to meet specific learning needs
Demonstrated capacity to collaboratively develop and implement programs aligned with the school\'s strategic directions, working with executive teams and the broader school community
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is required.
