APG Workforce are currently seeking a Night Shift Distribution Supervisor for their large processing facility based in Ipswich.

The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for the day to day supervision of area operators and achieving distribution requirements, with Quality, EMS and WHS

Policies and Procedures. The position reports to the Distribution Senior Supervisor and working relationships through the business.

Overseeing a team of approx 17 employees, and having 3 direct leading hands ensuring production targets are met daily & customer orders are dispatched according to set time schedules.

The chiller/freezer/distribution section includes:

- Receipt of product from external sites into the cool room;
- Handling and storage of product in the cool room to meet the requirements dispatch of all deliveries.
- Supervision of the distribution dock, forklift and pallet jack operators
- Housekeeping of the distribution area.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Staffing levels are maintained at appropriate levels and are adjusted up and down to meet requirements.
- Report all accident/ incident / near miss immediately to supervisor, and complete all relevant incident forms.
- Actively participate in WHS related programs, including training.
- Ensure that PPE is work and used to perform the job safety.
- Ensure mandatory stretches are performed.
- Assist the company to improve in the areas of Safety, Environmental, Quality and Compliance.

**Critical Skills and Experience Required**
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Ability to make quick and correct decisions "on the job"
- Ability to achieve distribution targets
- Proven Supervisory Skills
- Structured leadership training including conflict resolution and problem solving
- Forklift Ticket
- Knowledge of quality systems, HACCP procedures and understanding of how day to day activities could impact the quality of the product and the environment
- Experience in distribution warehouse
- Quick response time & Good time management skills
- Ability to work in a pressure environment with sound judgment skills
- Good time keeping and history of reliability
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers; also basic written skills.
