- **Temporary full-time for a period up to 2nd February 2026, with possibility of extension***

**About you**
Quantitative and data analytic experience will be a strength and you have a deep understanding and working knowledge of evaluation theory, practice and use and the ability to communicate this to a broad range of audiences.

You are able to lead end-to-end evaluation planning with program teams ensuring responsive and timely reporting to support program improvements.

You will be a strong leader of a team of evaluators who are working with sometimes challenging stakeholders. Your ability to develop a supportive team culture and build resilience will be vital to this role.

**About the role**

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the unit within the Teaching Quality & Impact directorate. This role will support the broader policy team by undertaking research and analysis to ensure strategies developed capture the right information.

The role will be developing evaluation frameworks, including logic models, evaluation questions and methodologies and implement evaluation frameworks and plans for the Implementation and Impact Unit.

Conducting qualitative and quantitative fieldwork, including focus groups, and interviews with students, parents and community, teachers and school leaders, non-school based teachers and corporate staff will form a significant part of the role.

In addition to this, the role will manage a small team who work flexibly and across various locations.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Experience managing a team, developing positive work environments whilst meeting project milestones.
- You will have experience in qualitative and quantitative methodologies within a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation and facilitation of research/evaluation frameworks, methodologies, and analysis in a business environment.
- You will have experience fostering strong client relationships which will support your decision thinking and approaches.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment (or willing to acquire one
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
