You'll join a team who are redefining how Aussies engage with sport — by creating thumb-stopping, laugh-out-loud content across all of our social channels.We're looking for someone who's quick, creative, and knows how to land an original, hilarious joke.
You'll cover everything from AFL clangers and clutch moments to breaking news and big talking points across the sporting world — and turn them into videos, memes, and social gold.If you know your memes, your memes know you, and you're as comfortable in Adobe as you are sitting back on the couch watching the game, we want to hear from you.You will:Create scroll-stopping content across AFL, sports, racing, and pop culture — with a lean toward meme formats, short-form videos, and reactive social contentIdeate and pitch content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, with a focus on humour, relevance, and brand tone of voicePlan and react to major sporting moments — from key AFL matches to viral sporting chaosTurn breaking news into bite-sized entertainment in real timeWrite one-liners, scripts, captions, and visual ideas that nail our tone of voiceContribute fresh gags and concepts to daily and weekly content meetingsDesign and produce social content — including video memes, photoshops, short edits, GIFs Confidently use tools like Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects (bonus points), Canva etc.Innovate with AI tools to generate seamless content that remains on brandActively publish and schedule content, both reactive and planned, across Sportsbet's social accountsBe ready to get on camera or behind it when neededThis role requires the occasional weekend work as you cover live games or nights around big events — Grand Final, Brownlow, State of Origin, etc.About YouStrong knowledge of sports, particularly AFL — you're across all teams, key players, stats, history and storylinesA positive and collaborative attitude that loves to win alongside your teamAn innate sense of humour and timing — you know how to pull the right rein at the right timeA proven track record creating content that performs on social platformsSpeed, agility, and an eye for what's trending in sport and online cultureConfidence in editing video and static formats using Adobe Suite or similar toolsAbility to write in a clear, funny, and brand-aligned toneWhy You'll Love Working HereAlong with a competitive salary and generous performance-based bonus, here's some of our other benefits:25 days annual leaveGenuine flexible working policy$1050 work-from-home allowance to set up your home officeAccess to our Employee Assistance Program and a Circle In membershipAccess to outstanding career development programs, including expert-led internal training and external learning opportunitiesWeekly concierge service including free massages, facials and nail appointments – all onsite
