- Applications are now open for the following opportunities within our Sport & Leisure Services team - Learn to Swim Instructor, Duty Officer - Aquatics, Fitness Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor
- **Hours of work**:We have a range of opportunities to offer Select your preference for part-time or full-time positions (temporary or permanent full-time roles are 38 hours per week, 19 day month or 9 day fortnight for some positions). Applicants to work across a 7-day spread of hours between 4:30am and 9:00pm, to support the operational requirements of our Centres (Sutherland, Caringbah and Engadine).

Things You'll **Do**:
**Learn to Swim Instructor**:
- You'll be passionate about swim teaching (just like us)
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students enjoying our Learn to Swim Classes.
- Swim Instruction standards are maintained in compliance with Sutherland Leisure Centres' procedures and Austswim / Swim Australia standards.
- You will teach all levels of Learn to Swim.
- As a Learn to Swim Instructor you will be required to conduct a safe and appropriate group class which falls under your scope of training and qualification.
- You will support our customers to unleash their potential, gain confidence, improve technique and reach their goals
- Being passionate about promoting water safety awareness and building students' swimming capability.
- Providing first aid response if needed.
**Package**:From $52,551 gross p.a. plus superannuation (Salary paid pro-rated to part time hours worked).

**Duty Officer Aquatics**:
- Provide on-site day-to-day supervision of lifeguards ensuring that public safety is maintained.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene of all areas, supported by cleaning schedules.
- Ensure all WH&S procedure checklists and inspections are completed.
- Maintain Centre equipment and conditions in compliance with NSW Health Guidelines.
- Maintain all relevant records onsite to adhere to industry standards and guidelines, updating procedures as required.
- Supporting other staff members - promoting their development and ensuring training needs are met (in line with industry standards).
- Creating a safe and welcoming environment for staff and our customers.
**Package**:From $65,456 gross p.a. plus superannuation (Salary paid pro-rated to part time hours worked).

**Fitness Trainer**:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and prospective members - upholding our organisational values in all that you do.
- Provide exercise education and goal setting for our Leisure Centre customers.
- Support member retention, fitness promotions and member inductions.
- Be a team-player, being open and available to perform 'fill-in' classes at short notice (if qualified in Group Fitness).
- Ensure equipment is appropriately set-up and packed away.
- Help promote and maintain high standards of cleanliness of all areas.
- Support the maintenance of Fitness Centre equipment, collaborating with other team members and supervisors to resolve any problems.
- Maintain all relevant records onsite to adhere to industry and Leisure Centre standards and guidelines, updating procedures as required.
