**The role**
Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, the Sustainability & HSSE Analyst will support both the Sustainability Manager and the HSSE Manager on a day-to-day basis. As a key member of the Technical department, the role will be responsible for the provision of specialist support across Sustainability and HSSE at the corporate level, working directly with the business to deliver routine analysis, benchmarking, and reporting, with a focus on continuous improvement, data integrity and insightful communication.
The Sustainability & HSSE Analyst will:
- Develop and maintain systems to routinely capture, analyse and report all environmental, sustainability and HSSE data into a central repository for reporting and analytics at the corporate level, including regulatory activity, for Board and Executive level.
- Provide assurance to ensure integrity, accuracy, and completeness of data against relevant standards, frameworks, protocols, and guidelines e.g., GHG Protocol for scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, TCFD recommendations, GRI Standards, SASB and Modern Slavery legislation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand their sustainability and HSSE data analysis needs and provide relevant information to ensure that reports add tangible business value.
- Advise and support the business and relevant stakeholders on current and evolving carbon and ESG accounting practices and regulatory reporting requirements.
**About you**
Additionally, they will have:
- 3+ years' demonstrated experience in a similar role supporting Sustainability and/or HSSE.
- 3+ years' demonstrated experience in energy and GHG (Greenhouse Gas) accounting and reporting.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Tertiary level qualifications in a related field including sustainability, business, finance, accounting, engineering, HSE or environmental management.
Highly Desirable:
- Familiarity with HSSE management, regulations and reporting requirements, e.g. IOGP, OPGGS Act and NOPSEMA in Australia.
- Familiarity with offshore operations, including drilling, production, construction, seismic, etc.
