**About us**:
The Children's Court of Victoria (ChCV) has jurisdiction under the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 to hear cases involving children and young people up to the age of 18 years, and in some cases up to 19 years. It has a Family Division and a Criminal Division and it sits at locations throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

**About the role**:
The Children's Court Weekend Online Remand Court operates on Saturday/Sunday and public holidays to ensure young people in custody are brought before a magistrate as soon as practicable.
The Registrar of the Weekend Online Remand Court works closely with the Registry Manager and will assist in listing and managing cases heard on the weekend and public holidays (appropriate shift allowance and entitlements as per the VPS Enterprise Agreement 2020 will apply). From Monday to Wednesday, the role will assist with the onsite, day-to-day operations of the Melbourne Children's Court.
