Our client relationships are part of a global network originating in Japan.
We help clients achieve their domestic and international growth goals through services such as lending, deposits, FX, market and derivative products, online banking transactions, asset management, and import/export finance.As an Associate, Relationship Manager, you will manage and maintain client relationships with Japanese corporations, under the supervision of the department head and in coordination with global relationship managers in Japan.What you'll be doing:Achieve profit targets by collaborating with business and product partners including structured finance, transaction banking, and global markets.Initiate RORA improvements and profit growth within your designated portfolio.Support department KPIs and team objectives.Serve as the primary contact for client communications and visits.Coordinate with internal teams to promote banking services to clients.Understand clients' financial statements and assess risks (credit, business, compliance).
Build trust with global relationship managers, product, and business partners.Manage end-to-end transaction processes and develop stakeholder relationships internally and externally.What we are looking for:7+ years of experience in financial institutions, accounting firms, consultancies, or equivalent roles.Degree in Banking, Commerce, Finance, or Accounting; relevant qualifications preferred.Experience in sales and marketing with knowledge of banking products and managing corporate clients.Experience working with international clients is a plus.Excellent communication skills for clear financial reporting.Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.Fluent Japanese language skills are preferred.Our culture:MUFG promotes a professional, supportive environment that helps employees maximize their potential.
