To learn more about us visit and PurposeThe Aviation Screening Officer (ASO) performs duties related to the security of persons and property at the airport as defined by the contract with Sydney Airport Corporation Limited, Qantas (Sydney Airport) and individual airlines, in accordance with the appropriate legislation.
The ASO works within the International and Domestic Terminals and may be required for off-site screening contracts.
Staff are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism under the "Security with Service and Integrity" model.Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary function is passenger screening at the airport; officers are rotated among positions.Positions include Loader, X-Ray Operator, Physical Bag Searcher, Primary Position (Body scanner/Walk-through metal detector), and Explosive Trace Detector (ETD).
